APRIL
EASTER MONDAY 13th April
Easter Parade & Fun Day
BANGOR SEAFRONT
Make it a family day and enjoy out in Bangor this Easter Monday. Join in the family fun at the seafront from 12 NOON until 6 PM and watch the up and coming strongmen (Lady’s bring your camera), compete in the Novice Ireland’s Strongest Man for the prestigious Finn McCool Trophy. Take the kids and enjoy a free trip along the promenade overlooking the marina on Big Lennie the land train, take time to get up close to animals from the long established Local Ard’s Ark Farm.

At 3PM Bangor will come alive with this year’s theme “All Thing’s Bright And Beautiful�, see artistic dancing, beautiful colourful hand crafted costumes and listen to music in this year’s parade. Watch out for Little Miss Sunshine and Mr. Blue Sky amongst the themed floats and local children performing routines.

May Day Mon 4th
Holywood Town Centre 10 AM until 4 PM
Medieval Holywood this you have to see.
Live fighting knight’s, funny jester’s, fire eater’s, craft activities, open market and local school children doing coordinated maypole dancing
Go along and support Holywood Medieval Day


JUNE
Bangor Maritime Annual Event’s 2009
BANGOR SEAFRONT
A maritime exhibition at North Down Museum
Bangor Library Tues 2nd – Sat 6th
Story telling from Ireland’s finest for primary school children with tales of maritime magic whom make the seas comes alive with pirates and mermaids. Look out for the special Lifeboat Luke Day

Local school groups try-a-Sail Monday 8th - Friday 12th

Bangor Local School Children can indulge in sailing on Belfast’s world famous Lough, experience the joy of pastime maritime at its best go on give it a try.

Sea Bangor Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th June

Step aboard the Tall Ship ‘Thalassa’ and this year for the first time take to the sea on board the Tall Ship. Booking is essential.

Nautical street theatre to amuse and entertain all the family, once the children have played tirelessly in the Kids Tent, Dad and Granddad can inspect all the model boats and then everyone can fill themselves on the goody’s on offer at the food tent.
