RICH MENS PLAYTHINGS

Post by Rossco » Wed Sep 10, 2008 11:49 am

Haven't posted nothing on the footy forum here for couple of weeks and that's for a reason! sick of football to my back teeth at the moment! It has become a rich mans plaything, foreign billionaires buying English clubs that they know nothing about and pumping it full off money to buy the best (well most greedy anyhow) foreign players to that club! so in effect the British youth players coming through are shipped of to lower league clubs to ply there trade and never becoming the players they maybe would have became if they had been allowed to stay at the bigger clubs with better coaches. all in all it's a sad state of affairs in the English top flight at the min. In Spain you have to pick 8 out of ur choosen 18 players before a match in the league (including 7 subs there in case u think my maths sucks) same in Italy and most other top leagues in Europe expect England! Scotland have a home player rule to but that was just to try and top the Glasgow 2 from running away with it every year as it's dull (worked didn't it ha ha) so there we had world cup quantifiers at the weekend and again tonight with England beating part-timers Andorra 2-0 with nearly a full strength team bar injuries, Northern Ireland getting beat 2-1 by Slovakia, Scotland getting beat by Macedonians!!! Wales won fair play bas did the Rep of Ireland but both will find it very hard to quantify! in fact all the home nations will find it hard to get to the 2010 world cup. none were at the Euros this summer so there you have to effect of rich foreign owners buying the top English clubs it runs the home nations in to the ground not to mention putting ticket prices up for the fans. it was said this week that it costs £112 for one average game for a father and son in the top flight at this moment and that's if you live near the ground so if ur travelling from Northern Ireland to see a match add on to that! so there you have it, sick to my teeth with football at the mo, truly am. well hopefully Northern Ireland will beat the Czech Rep at Windsor tonight and you know they could very well cause how many nights in Sept have the team raised to the occasion!! Engand 1-0, Spain 3-2. so aye think why not but it will be a false dawn cause we'll not be at 2010 as a Nation as will nor Scotland, Wales, Rep of Ireland and prob England. so when so rich Arab buys ur club should you really be smiling? will you be happy when they bring in greedy Brazilians who choose Man City over Chelsea (who 4 years ago were doing the same as City anyhow) for an extra £100 grand a week instead of wanting to play for the club? well when the English top flight is full off foreign mercenaries it will kill the home nations intrest all together cause where else (bar few top English lads) will they get the experience to compete at the top international flight??? where indeed! so when rich men used to have dolly birds to play with at the weekend to get away from the wife they now have football teams to play with on a sat instead and you the punter are the one getting fucked!

Its bad when a sport like football hurts the pockets of the working man, if they need money that badly they should just play the fucking prat players less
To resist the influence of others, knowledge of one's self is most important.
